Day 2 – Japan Tokyo

Day 2 – Japan Tokyo

We started our trip from Penang International Airport, transited at Hong Kong, flying via Cathay Pacific. There are two airports in Tokyo, Japan. One is Haneda Tokyo Airport, another one is Narita Tokyo Airport. We touched down at the latter airport, at night. I checked out their clean, modern toilet upon arrival… haha  :-P

April 2013 (Day 2) : Tokyo (Asakusa, Megaweb, Tokyo Tower, Ginza)

Asakusa

First tourist spot we went was Asakusa. Asakusa’s main attraction is Sensoji, the oldest temple in Tokyo. It is one of Tokyo’s most colourful and famous temples. A shopping street, called Nakamise, stretches over approximately 250 meters from the main gate, Kaminarimon to the second gate, the Hozomon. There are a lot of shops selling local specialties and tourist souvenirs.

Megaweb

Next, was MegawebMegaweb is a car theme park to “Look, Ride & Feel”. It was made up of 3 main sections: Toyota City Showcase (Look), Ride Studio (Ride) & History Garage (Feel).

At Toyota City Showcase, one can test drive and witness Toyota’s newest models they never displayed in other location. Ride Studio is for children to enjoy driving experience as well as to learn some traffic rules, but instruction in Japanese only. History Garage displayed historic cars from all over the world. Car lovers would love this place, but even better if you can understand Japanese. ><

You can also have a visit to the shopping mall next to it, VenusFort. VenusFort is a shopping mall designed to resemble a medieval European Village. We took some photo stickers at the purikura ^^ (purikura means photo sticker booth)

Ginza

Lastly, Ginza for the luxury, upmarket shopping, which, totally not my place. Haha… But this place is nice especially on weekend afternoons, where the street is closed to automobiles and become a pedestrian zone.

Didn’t go out wandering in Shinjuku. Just took some night views nearby after the dinner.
